Updates

July 2, 2009

We had a fantastic road trip through the Okanagan Valley recently, which included hiking in a wetland where cougars have been sighted recently, seeing pictographs by Ktunaxa First Nation tribes near Canal Flats, and sitting in a hot spring near a cold and rushing Lussier River. I might include pieces of this trip in the next issue. The next issue’s theme is travel, and though is slated for spring probably won’t go up until summer 2010 due to my work on Big Bridge at the same time.

Updates on submissions

February 26, 2009

Submissions for the spring issue are now closed. If you would like to submit something for the 2010 10-year anniversary issue, feel free, but I won’t be actively dealing with that for a few months. I do save all submissions in a folder, but you may not be hearing from me right away until I start thinking about the anniversary publication.

Also, as some of you may know, my father is in his last stages of Parkinsons, and just this week took a turn for the worst. Though the spring issue is still slated for March 20th, it may or may not go up on time depending on my father’s health and any travel. I keep in touch privately with the contributors, and will be sending out a notice in the next couple weeks about a preview.
